KILL THE FUCKING KING
IV lives in a place called “The Void” a neon lit , futuristic city with tons of things to do to distract yourself, it stays dark, you can’t always see the stars because of the light pollution. Besides many neon lights, what you can see from anywhere in “the Void” is the Kings Tower.
A place like the Void , supposedly needs a “King” or another human being that is supposed to represent the possibilities that you have there, except it doesn’t quite work out that way.
Instead the King of the Void , Named “King Flash Vortex” ignored the needs of the AVoided ( what we call the citizens in the void) he instead took everything and anything he could from them.
There are other places that exist outside the void, IV knew because he had visions of it,
“Opulus” a place where everyone had everything they wanted
And he wanted to bring everyone there.
Although he knew it would not be very easy he knew what he’d have to do, kill the fucking king.
To kill the fucking king IV knew he had to climb KIngs Tower.
“Anything you want to do, we’re here to support.. but.. the king is said to possess an extreme amount of power.. everyone who has tried to kill him has died.. but not before they were imprisoned and tortured” said the Crows, a group of mostly negative but sometimes “real” birds that seemed to follow IV everywhere he went. they weren't exactly good friends or great company.
“Imprisoned? If he doesn’t kill me , he can’t win” IV Replied.
“He’ll probably kill you then” Said the Crows “It’d be a shame if you died… if you did though… what would you do with all of your things?”
IV tossed them the keys to his apartment “Lease is up in 44 days” Replied IV, It’s fine because ill be living in that tower.
IV did take some things with him, he took his capacity to maintain healthy relationships, he took his ability to maintain romantic connections, he brought empathy his understanding. he put all these things in the bag with the intention of bringing it up to the top of Kings tower.
“Wont that all just get in the way? Isnt it heavy” Sang the crows
“Yes” replied IV.
Hours later IV started to Climb the tower, he made quick work of any Guard he’d run into , he had no trouble beating anyone his entire life, but it did start to weigh on him eventually. Even IV could only do so much. Eventually his bag of things became too heavy for him, and one by one he would have to toss things out of that bag. He had assumed that as King of the Tower, he should just be able to reclaim these things, and by the time he got to the top of the tower he was fully convinced of that , and his bag was empty.
And so..
when the King Vortex witnessed IV he just began to laugh.
“What’s so funny?” IV said, seriously
“Oh it’s just… Whenever i get someone challenging me for my throne it reminds me of the frivolity of it all.. You Kids think you want thousand that, but ...you really dont” The king stood up “Take the throne… ill just leave… fuck all of this”
“No… You have to die for what you’ve done…”
“Ahhh there it goes again… you lot want way more than just this Throne… but you unlike the others.. You seem competent .. you seem like you could actually..” Blood started to squirt from the Kings Neck, he hadn't even noticed that IV moved.
When IV is at his most serious, for some reason it was like he moved through time differently, like he went “somewhere else” and then came back to a spot he wouldn't have the speed to reach by foot. He wasn't sure how or why he was able to do this, but he weaponized it and was able to travel great distances without it taking much time. But it did take alot of his energy. He was only able to do this about once per month, and he couldn't do this at any distance; it still had to be relatively close enough or he would not have the energy.
He called it “Dimension step”
The king fell to his knees bleeding from his neck, coughing & gagging when the blood took up too much space for his maniacal laughter
“I wish … I could live long enough to watch you.. Fuck this… up” said the KIng
And he died.
The fucking king was dead… And IV became the King in his place.
Hail King IV of The VOID and all of a sudden he had all the time in the world to retrieve the lost things he threw from his bag.
Maybe he should have done it then
